Clinical Trial -- Is "IT" that important in there?

We have all heard about information technology being a pet of our day-to-day life..Its teh same in the lifecycle of a drug..

be it validation..edit checks...etc etc etc...

Its said that the presence of IT eases out teh process and makes teh lifecycle of a drug a bit simpler and worthy...

What are your thoughts on this? drunken
